We inherited a little block of Flora, only 14 rows. The cultivar hails from California, it is a cross of Semillon and Gewurztraminer. Flora has the most attractive copper pink-coloured berries. We decided to soak the berry skins in their juices for 5 days before pressing, this way we achieved a wonderful copper colour to the wine. The juice underwent a long cool fermentation and was arrested with a balanced amount of residual sugar remaining to produce a sweet and luscious wine.
Honey – Papaya, lychee, gala apples, rose petals and stone fruit, the palate is juicy and luscious. Enjoy drinking now.
